Why Wax Your Car?
Waxing your car is a basic way to protect its paint.
The benefits of waxing are twofold:
(1) It enhances the gloss of the paint surface, achieving a mirror-like finish on top of polishing.
(2) It forms a protective film on the paint surface, effectively isolating it from adverse environmental influences such as sunlight, acid rain, bird droppings, dust, and industrial pollution, effectively giving the car an invisible protective layer.
What are the functions of car wax?
(1) Waterproofing. Cars are frequently exposed to the air and inevitably suffer from wind and rain. When water droplets remain on the car's surface, under strong sunlight after the weather clears, each droplet acts as a convex lens, focusing the temperature to 800-1000°C, causing dark spots on the paint surface and significantly affecting its quality and lifespan. Furthermore, water droplets can easily cause rust on exposed metal surfaces. High-grade car wax can reduce water droplet adhesion by more than 90%, greatly reducing the likelihood of corrosion and maximizing paint protection.
(2) High-Temperature Resistance. The principle behind car wax's high-temperature resistance is to effectively reflect incident light from different directions, preventing the incident light from causing the topcoat or basecoat to age and discolor.
